JH SP1 has been available in beta for a while. The general release has been delayed. (unless you're a 64-bit user, in which case it may have been pushed to you by Windows Update....and by mistake). I've used every home and corporate Windows version since Version 3 (even bought a machine with ME on it). Vista has

However getting VB6 itself to work under vista has some problems. I've checked with another developer using the beta of Vista and this is not true at all. I mean, you saying "is the first I've heard of problems running the VB6 IDE on Vista" kinda implies you've got extensive experience with Vista.

(And yes, I tried installing the old drivers but trust me they don't work). They told me to keep checking back in the next few months... MONTHS? I don't think so - what burns me is that they could have been testing this stuff all along (I know, I was a Vista beta tester) and hopefully got drivers out quickly.

Will VB6 work on Windows Vista
I was also on the Vista Beta, and had (have) driver/compatibility issues. I've had to build the new system in parallel via KVM switch with my main XP box, so I can do everything I want. Audio/visual programs seemed most effected and they are just too expensive to replace even if they would work under Vista.
